Many of the bassets that come into our rescue have never been to a vet or have not seen a vet for many years.  With the added medical expenses for people, the costs of medical care of these dogs add up quickly. Bassets needing a little extra care can easily run up a medical bill that can total $400.00 or more.  Our adoption fees help cover the costs of spaying/neutering, vaccinations and any other medical costs needed by the dogs and allows us to help more basset in need.

Adoption fees can vary based on the age and general health of the dog. Please contact us if you have any questions on the adoption fee for a specific basset.

Please keep in mind we have new dogs coming in all the time and not all bassets may be listed on the website.  If you have any specific requirements (must be good around children, cats or other dogs, housebroken, or a good traveler) but don't see a basset on the website that matches what you are looking for,  please send us an email or fill out an application.  We will keep an eye open to help you find your new best buddy!
